If the original is an old photograph, it may well be damaged in some way; it may be cracked, creased or stained, or bits may be missing. In this case we would scan the original and retouch the image on-screen. All the above faults can be rectified. Then a new digital print is made, perhaps on Lustre paper to match the original. Old Victorian or wartime photographs really benefit from this treatment. Your original print is untouched and a new restored print is created. Colour and B/W photos can be restored. Prices start from £25.00.

Manipulation and Enhancement

Image manipulation is the ability to 'edit' a photograph or artwork. For example it is sometimes necessary to remove something from the background or add a person to a family group photo or montage several images together with no visible join. It is possible to do many things with images, so the best thing to do is to phone us and discuss the options. Enhancing an image includes restoring colour, contrast, cropping, correcting distortion; all sorts of things are possible. Phone us to discuss your ideas.

As a guide, prices start from £30.00 depending on the complexity of the work to be undertaken. This would be to scan, restore/manipulate the image, and produce one print.
